We were told that a reservation was a must, at 4:00 on a friday if we wanted to dine there later that evening. Our return at 7:15, greeted us with a line of people waiting for tables. Even though we were 15 minutes late for our reservation we were seated upon arrival. Service was hurried, the food was good not great. If the restaurant were inland, the crowds would no doubt be less, as there would be more competition. For a Jersey shore restaurant the food is competitive, and probable several notches above the typical pizzia shop/restaurant.
