| Description: |
The bright red doors of this restaurant beckon the hungry diner. Upon entering the trattoria you are greeted by a bustling restaurant scene. Portions are generous and the dinner menu diverse enough to provide for a fine dining experience or a night out with the kids who can be treated to brick oven pizza. You can't go wrong order a meat entree, which always seem to be from the best cuts and cooked just right (medium rare in my book). Desserts are worth trip in and upon themselves. |

Standards have dropped unacceptably at this familiar Ridgewood Italian stanby. Undercooked chicken served to several parties caused a general mutiny on our last and final visit.

This was a big let down. The food was ok at best. The risotto with scallops was not worth it at all. There where only 6 bay scallops on the dish and the taste of the risotto was all scallops no other seasonings could be tasted at all. The Veal special sounded good until it was brought to the table and it was fried didn't expect that. Also the specials menu had no prices on it and to our surprise the veal was over $30 and not anywhere near worth that. The Risotto was $24 and wasn't worth $10 since all you tasted was scallops and nothing else making the whole dish taste bland and unflavorful. One last thing the Risotto with scallops said Sea scallops which I buy anytime I make scallops at home and they where not sea scallops they where bay scallops and again they where only ok. Personally I would not go back ever again it is not worth the prices they are charging. There is no reason anyone should ever go and spend that much and leave still hungry cause it was ok and not worth finishing or taking home the left overs.
