The winery was founded in 2000 and is based on making quality and affordable wines. The 2003 Angeline Chardonnay – Russian River Valley scores on both counts. At $10.00 a bottle, this wine is easy drinking with lighter dishes or just simply tasty drinking. Light hints of apple and citrus flavors with a light oak finish makes this a crowd please. Of our five tasters, all thought the wine was tasty and a value for the money. The label may not look familiar since this is a relatively new winery that is capitalizing on the Ray Martin name, but the proof is in the wine and I don’t think you will be disappointed. With a glut of wine grapes in California, this may be just the winery to establish quality reasonable priced winery that consumers can enjoy. So far so good.
