Wine Temperature
Q
Does a wine that is refrigerated and unopen ruin if you take it out and store it in an air conditioned home?
Generally speaking and from my experience, wine is much hardier than people give it credit for. I have had plenty of wine that has gone through temperature fluctuations without harm. But the big exception to the rule here is cheaper mass produced wine and older wines tends to not follow this rule, so treat them better.

Q
Do you chill Old Vine Zinfandel?

Q
I accidentally, froze a bottle of champagne, I put it back in the refrigerator and it defrosted, will it be ok to drink?
As a general rule temperature extremes degrade wine both hot and cold. In my experience I have had wine that has been subjected to hot and cold temperatures and more often than not the wine was fine. Go drink it, but have a backup bottle just in case.

Q
Should a Reisling be served chilled?
Reisling, being a white wine is normally served chilled which truly helps compliment the wine. By chilled, I mean keep the wine in the refrigerator and take it out about 20 minutes before you plan to drink it.

Yellow Tail Merlot - should it be served room temperature or cold

Q
Which wines should be chilled
Traditionally speaking, all white wines should be served chilled by keeping the wine in the refrigerator, removing the wine about 20 minutes before drinking. The exception is champagne/sparkling wine which can be refrigerated until you are ready to drink the wine.

do you serve Chianti chilled or room temperature?
Chianti a tasty Italian red wine should not be chilled and like all red wines should be served at room temperature which is between 60 and 70 degrees.

Q
should you refrigerate wine?
Wine, both white and red should be stored in 60 degree or slightly cooler temperatures and served at room temperature which is between 60 and 70 degrees. White wine not red can be stored in a refrigerator before drinking, but this as well as a restaurants ice bucket will chill the wine below the optimal drinking temperature (note the colder wine is or even beer the more difficult it is for your taste buds to pickup all the flavors) so it is recommended to bring the wine out of the refrigerator for a 1/2 hour or so to bring the wine up to an appropriate temperature.
