DOES LIQUOR SPOIL IF KEPT TO LONG? Quality liquor can last a very long time. Scotch and bourbon can improve with age. Cheaper alcohols will break down over time and lose their taste. I would give five to ten years for most hard liquors. Longer for the higher quality ones. But remember that you should enjoy what you have not worry about it going bad.
