Thank you for visiting our site, I hope you find it a useful resource and bookmark our site for future reference. With that said, you might be wondering who we are and why we created this site. At least that is what I figured you would want to know when you clicked the Who We Are link. Actually who we are is not really as important as what we like, which is good food and wine.

I think the phrase Bring Your Own Bottle (BYOB) has a nice ring to it. Think about it, you're going to go out to dinner where everything will be done for you. You don't have to cook, you don't have to cleanup. You get to bring a good bottle or two of wine or beer. You can walk in the door of the restaurant and not feel empty handed, hey you brought the wine. It's similar to going over a friends house for dinner and not coming empty handed, maybe you bring a dessert maybe a bottle of vino. To me bring your own bottle just feels right. And to be perfectly honest, I am not a great cook. I can pare food and wine pretty well, which I like doing at home, but I also like doing it at restaurants. The problem was trying to find a good BYOB restaurant to go to. Mostly I learned about BYOB restaurants from friends who also share my passion for Bring Your Own Bottle restaurants. Once in a while I would get tuned into a restaurant from a review in a newspaper or magazine, but I have always thought food critics favor the liquor licensed establishments. As for web sites or restaurant guide books, they just didn't cover BYOB restaurants. Sure they might have a few listings, but not enough. So the need was apparent and the friends I shared my idea with provided the encouragement to bring this site to fruition.

So here we are and it will only get better from here, with user feedback of course. For this site to grow we need your help. If you like dining out and you like wine and more to the point you like BYOB restaurants, tell us. Please dine out at one of our listed restaurants and give us your feedback, and review the restaurant. If you know a restaurant that is BYOB that hasn't been included in our site, let us know and we will add the restaurant. If you have an idea on how we can improve our site, let us know. I want this site to be the best it can be and would love to hear how we can improve the site.
